[Barlow] I think it wold be extremely lame if that each quest gave you the same flipping weapon.armor each time through the game and the things you found were always scripted.

[william] once we test it a bit we can decide on which is more fun

[Barlow] No, items would be based on progression. So the items you may get from completing one of those redoable missions are based on how far you are through the game.

[william] but u know how in zelda it almost had lvls without designating a number
[william] like once u got that next weapon u jumped in skill

[william] ok well if we have missions to go through and items u can buy
[Barlow] Scripted is this happens when this happens. E.g. when you get that master sword then you get to do the blade swirl around attack. Or when it can mean that everything happens linearly.
[william] and maybe even some hidden items u can find
[william] so u may get "item name" now, but if u replay u may get it earlier or later
[william] that would keep the item depenendent lvl's while keeping it quite open
[Barlow] Yeah but nothing out of your progrssion level range.

[Barlow] So if you are 25% way through the game then you can on;y get items that are in the 1-25% range.
[william] we will need to make some kinda hat in the code that certain missions can grab from
[tim] i think that the hidden item idea is lame
[william] ok no hidden items
[tim] just in the story line through
[Barlow] Well maybe if we place a random treasure chest in the level everytime you start your game... that would be fun-maybe.
[tim] cuz if there super hard to find
[william] how about only items that make sense like in enemy bases?
[william] or funny items in some rooms
[william] like butcher knife or something from meat house
[william] keep items making sense
[tim] no one will play cu you cant progress but if there easy then the will get to places they are to low to handle
